More than Repair, Toward Healing and Regeneration: Bioceramic Endodontic Innovations and Clinical Cases

Recently, bioceramic materials have gained significant attention in endodontics for their excellent biocompatibility and sealing ability. However, the ultimate goal of modern endodontic therapy extends beyond mere root canal obturation or repair. Promoting tissue healing, preventing apical inflammation, and inducing the biological regeneration of destroyed periapical tissue, nerve fibers, and hard tissue are now recognized as critical functions for achieving ideal treatment outcomes.
In this context, MARUCHI has introduced advanced hydraulic bioceramic materials that drive a paradigm shift toward regenerative endodontics. Utilizing MARUCHI’s patented formula combining highly purified tricalcium silicate with Li2CO3 + DMSO, these bioceramic products offer superior biocompatibility, low solubility, and unique tissue-inductive properties. Rather than acting as a static filling material, they are gradually replaced over time by new host tissue, promoting bone formation, nerve fiber regeneration, and dentin-like hard tissue remodeling. This innovative mechanism provides predictable healing even in challenging clinical scenarios, including apical lesions, root perforations, and severe root resorption.
This video presentation demonstrates the scientific principles of MARUCHI’s bioceramic technology and showcases long-term clinical case studies to highlight its efficacy in disease control, tissue healing, and periapical regeneration.
